Headhunterz shared that he will begin his retirement from performing live shows in January 2024.

In an Instagram reel, Headhunterz announced he will stop all touring and live performances come 2024.

After a consistently busy schedule for the past 15 years, the legendary hardstyle artist and creator of the record label Art of Creations decided to take a break from the frequent traveling that had taken a significant toll on his physical and mental health. He made the difficult decision to stick to creating instead of performing to alleviate more tiring aspects of his music career.

It sounds like a goodbye, but of course it really isn’t. I’m just giving up one thing to be able to fully commit to the other. This isn’t an end for me, I’m continuing to do what I love just in a different form.

Headhunters’ announcement is not a formal and permanent leave of absence from the scene, only a potentially temporary goodbye to the performance side of his career. He’s still sitting on lots of unreleased music and plans to release waves of tracks starting September 15. We can therefore look forward to tons of new music within the coming months.

Headhunterz also plans to host a small closing event that will celebrate his journey in the industry thus far with fellow DJ and producer colleagues. More details on the event are to be announced later. He has stated that he hesitates to promise that he’ll never set foot on stage to perform again. The decision is more so a trial to figure out if a step in this direction could help him strike a his own beneficial balance between health and career.

Check out the full announcement below in his Instagram post.
