The White Isle’s 2023 season will go out with a bang if Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa Ibiza have anything to say about it.
If you’re anything like us, time seems to speed on by during festival season. It couldn’t have been that long ago that Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa Ibiza announced their spring 2023 opening party, The Signal —could it have? Apparently so, because here they are whetting clubgoers’ appetites for a fall closing celebration dubbed The Vortex slated for Saturday, October 7.
At the time of writing, neither superclub brand has shared any headliner details for The Vortex. An Instagram post simply promises “the ultimate day-to-night closing party experience,” calling music lovers to sign up for exclusive pre-sale tickets when phase one of the lineup goes live. The two clubs routinely book a who’s who of dance music greats, from specialist purveyors of techno and house all the way up to commercial EDM superstars.
French entrepreneur Yann Pissenem opened the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel in 2011, marrying his longtime love of raving with the idyllic allure of the White Isle. After Space Ibiza closed in 2016 following a 27-year run, he opened Hï Ibiza in the unit formerly occupied by it the following season. Alongside superclubs like Amnesia, Privilege, and Pacha, Pissenem’s two club’s routinely appear in top ten lists of Ibiza nightlife establishments.
Thus far in 2023, Ushuaïa has played host to party series with lineups topped by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and David Guetta. Hï, on the other hand, has billed such headliners as Black Coffee, Eric Prydz, The Martinez Brothers, and FISHER. All aforementioned artists have announced closing parties for their individual residencies in the months leading up to The Vortex.
