Listeners can join edapollo on a heartfelt voyage through his inner world by listening to his new album, Technicolour Places.

Dedicated to infusing his creativity into his productions, edapollo is undoubtedly one of the scene’s most captivating artists. Born in the United Kingdom and now thriving in the creative embrace of Melbourne, he began his ascend in the electronic music ranks with his debut album Endless Cascades in 2019. With a gift to seamlessly weave together a tapestry of musical brilliance, his music gracefully blends a rich palette of influences, ranging from atmospheric downtempo to electronica and house.

Unsurprisingly, the ethereal charm of edapollo’s sound has continued to strike a resounding chord with audiences worldwide, propelling him to charter releases on labels such as Kitsune Musique, Future Classic, Majestic Casual, Sony, and more. This time around, armed with an insatiable curiosity and an unwavering dedication to his craft, he’s returned to the release radar for his latest album, Technicolour Places, on Foreign Family Collective.

Technicolour Places packs ten wondrous tracks that offer a glimpse into edapollo’s artistic evolution. True to its name, the album metaphorically represents a vivid display of imagery and enriching sensations, built on his desire to “use music as a way of bringing back color and positive energy to life.” Although a slew of releases such as “Find Love,” “Opalescent,” “Only You,” and “Synesthesia” arrived as singles earlier this year, there is plenty more extraordinary magic for the listeners to experience along with the album release.

“These Things Take Time” is gorgeously crafted with a buoyant rhythm, synchronized beats that swirl, and dreamy vocal samples that seem to radiate a childlike wonder. Even with “Drive” and “Move On,” it seems that edapollo knows how to craft a rhythmic spell effortlessly to put the listeners in a fantastical world. These compositions bring together an eclectic sound laden with soothing harmonies to evoke nostalgia and introspection.

The latest single, “You’re Everything,” stands out with its crackling beats that ignite the senses. As the song unfolds, it becomes an irresistible invitation to surrender to its intoxicating charm amidst the filtered vocals that confidently proclaim, “You’re everything to me.” Citing it as his favorite song off the new album, edapollo shared, “I wanted to make something uptempo, groovy, and euphoric that would work well in the live set, and it flowed out really naturally one day in the studio. I remember getting goosebumps when writing it, and that’s usually a good sign that I’m on to a winner!”

Fortunately, the musical treasure trove does not end here. As the rest of the album beckons, edapollo continues to offer up a symphony of colors and emotions with the last two tracks, “Technicolour Daydream” and “Oscillations,” gently guiding the listeners back to reality, but leaving the enchantment of this musical fairytale firmly etched in their minds. This multi-talented producer continues to transcend boundaries with his creativity, passion, and sonic brilliance, and it’s clear he’s just getting started to shatter more records in the electronica realm.

Technicolour Places is a release you’ll want to listen to from start to finish, so give edapollo’s new record a spin on Spotify or your preferred streaming platform, and let us know your thoughts on Twitter!
