Disco Donnie Presents, Probably Nothing, and global partners are teaming up for a unique experience next year, Texas Eclipse.
While many promoters claim to have unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences at events, few are as impactful as those centered around natural phenomena like massive eclipses. Turn back the clock to 2017, and you’ll find one of the last major celebrations on US soil, Oregon Eclipse, which saw thousands flock to the Pacific Northwest for an experience that was unlike any other. Next April, another eclipse will take place with totality being reached over Texas, and Disco Donnie Presents and Probably Nothing have stepped up to the plate to curate a festival surrounding it.
Texas Eclipse is set to take place on April 5-9 at the 1,300-acre Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, which is just a short drive from San Antonio and Austin. To bring this event to life, the two promoters looked beyond their own borders and are working with a number of collaborators from around the globe. This includes Canada’s Bass Coast, California’s Symbiosis, Costa Rica’s Disqo Perezoso, Guatemala’s Cosmic Convergence, Germany’s Bachstelzen, Oregon’s Beloved, Bulgaria’s Meadows In The Mountain, Mexico’s Ometeotl, South Africa’s Origin, Japan’s RE:BIRTH, and two from Australia, Earth Frequency and Strawberry Fields.
Together, these promoters will bring forth a diverse, all-ages event filled to the brim with stages, art installations, activities, displays of technology, and plenty more. While there will be plenty of art and music for attendees to experience, the total solar eclipse that will take place during the festival is the true draw. The sky will go dark as the eclipse happens for nearly four and a half minutes, marking the last time that a total eclipse will take place over the US in more than 20 years.
I’m excited to develop an event that will bring different groups together worldwide to witness a rare celestial occurrence — both enthusiasts who have attended multiple eclipses and a whole new group of attendees.
