AFROJACK’s WALL Recordings is helping grow new artists looking to make an impact in the scene with the launch of WALL Academy.
There’s no doubt that it’s difficult to make a break in the music industry, especially with access to production tools and equipment becoming easier by the year. But those looking to become the next big artist shouldn’t dash their plans so quickly because, with hard work and a little help along the way from other major artists in the scene, the future can be brighter than ever before. That latter of the two is exactly what AFROJACK and WALL had in mind with their latest venture to assist budding talent, WALL Academy.
AFROJACK is fresh off a massive appearance at EDC Las Vegas, where he guided the crowd at the circuitGROUNDS stage through the early hours of Sunday morning. But days later, he’s set his sights back on the long-term goal he’s had for years – helping new artists carve out space in the scene for themselves. WALL Academy is the newest leap forward in this mission and has roots dating back a year when AFROJACK began to host demo streams with fellow artists on the WALL roster.
WALL Academy is a platform dedicated to discovering new, emerging artists. Their plan is to help these fresh producers grow their skills by providing tools and other resources, including advice and support from artists on the WALL roster, all while showcasing the sounds they create to the AFROJACK and the imprint’s global fanbase. Centered on their Discord channel, this talent pool will be ever-growing and act as a stepping stone for a bigger audience for these rising stars in the scene, and there are already plenty of demos scheduled to be released on the horizon.
The first track to land from an artist on the WALL Academy roster is “New Hope,” which arrives from rising artist Max Robinson and was recently featured in Jacked Radio Episode 604. This tune is a perfect kick-off as it offers a banging progressive house beat with an uplifting melody that’s fit for any festival stage this season while also setting the bar high for what’s to come from this talent pool in the coming months. Download or stream the track on your preferred platform today.
Artists keen on joining WALL Academy can head over to the WALL Discord, which is where they can submit demos to be featured in their regular streams. Stay tuned for more releases from this motley crew of producers
