Bakka (BR) fell in love with music when he first picked up playing the drums at a young age and has only continued to explore and evolve ever since. Finding a deep appreciation for a range of genres within the house and techno realm, he’s crafted a unique sound fueled by melodic elements that have captivated listeners around the world. This has led Bakka (BR) to find a home on labels ranging from Sprout and Do Not Sit On The Furniture to This Never Happened and Bunny Tiger while playing shows in Germany, Denmark, and more along the way.
Starting the year with strong releases on Visceral and Terranova, Bakka (BR) took his talents to Zatar Music to make his debut on the imprint with the Wish Me Luck EP. This three-track release is dripping with gorgeous melodic elements, otherworldly synths, and piano-led breakdowns that allow listeners to take a deep dive into the progressive realm with the Bolivian-born, Brazilian-based artist guiding the way.
Celebrating the release of Wish Me Luck, Bakka (BR) spun up a mix to further showcase his ability to create immense soundscapes while also giving everyone a taste of the beats that are booming in Brazil. Found within the tracklist are selections from artists such as Bondi, Sasha Carassi, and Cioz, along with his own originals and remixes for added flair.
This mix was created in the Bakka Collective’s Studio in the beautiful coastal Brazilian city of Balneário Camboriú, close to Praia Brava Beach. An ideal location for a world-class studio offering an array of equipment and gear for producing music, the city is also known for its stunning beaches, vibrant wildlife, and its unique summer penguins and sea lions.
