Susio Whips Everyone Into a Proper Groove with His Fall Mix

San Diego-based DJ and producer Susio prepares everyone for cooler temperatures with a heater-filled 30-minute mix.

Southern California is a hotbed for tech house and techno, but while many set their sights on cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco, the bubbling scene in San Diego has brought a plethora of talented artists. One of the standouts in the local scene is Susio, who has continually impressed with his dynamic range over the years while taking the stage at countless venues and releasing on imprints like Hood Politics, Nothing But, and Tech Avenue.

While the past few years have been a roller coaster for everyone, Susio pressed on through the thick of it all with a steady flow of releases and sets that have kept dancefloors moving to the beat. Riding the wave of house tunes that dropped in 2021, he returned to a familiar home, Nothing But, with “Around You” while teaming up with Brittani Cherelle for another stunner called “Electricity” on Kino Village. As the summer came to a close, Susio dropped the Ojos EP on Gold Bloc Records that also brought another legend in San Diego, DJ Ideal, into the mix.

Susio has also kept himself busy on the performance front with sets at Spin Nightclub, Lovelife’s Star Spangled Boat Party over the Fourth of July weekend with longtime friend Mitch Dodge, and Office Bar for the Dance Klassique’s legendary Wednesday night deep house shows. This month will see him grace the stage on Groove Cruise Cabo and on Halloween weekend at Camino Riviera. “I’m excited to set sail next Wednesday with my Music Is 4 Lovers fam on Groove Cruise,” Susio said about the upcoming sailing. “I’m playing two sets on GC, and one of them, I’m going B2B with my good friend DJ Ideal!”

To get everyone warmed up for his sets on Groove Cruise Cabo and the rest of the fall months ahead, Susio spun up a 30-minute mix that’s filled to the brim with quality tunes. It includes everything from his recently released single “Electricity” to heaters like “Ba Da Bam” by Shiba San, Black V Neck, and Nautik and “Number One” by Vitor Vinter, Trallez, and Tiago Bueno, and its sure to have you bopping along the entire time.
