LabelRadar is the latest platform to be acquired by Beatport as they expand their offerings to help artists find a home for their music.
Leading music platform Beatport isn’t slowing down in its efforts to assist established and rising artists alike this year. Back in February, they announced their acquisition of Ampsuite, a tech company that helps creators and labels grow earnings and reach new fans. Now, they’ve continued to grow their offerings for artists with the latest company to join their ranks, LabelRadar.
Co-founded by Derek Clark, Ed Brew, Juan Ferreras, Sebastián Ferreras, and Ariel Kohan, LabelRadar is a platform that provides access to unsigned demos from artists around the world for various A&R teams to check out. Once those teams find a track they love it notifies the artist who created it and then, the A&R team can dive deeper into the artist behind the tune, begin a conversation, and sign the track to their imprint if there’s mutual confirmation.
“LabelRadar streamlines the whole demo submission process,” said Alex Branson, SVP of Music Services. “LabelRadar has built an accessible product that makes it easier for labels and publishers to review incoming demos while ensuring artists get their demos heard by the right prospective partners who can immediately jump on the opportunity to sign new music.”
This pairing of Beatport and LabelRadar arrives after years of the two companies working together on remix competitions and more. This new acquisition will only further help rising artists find a home for their music and foster deeper relationships with labels as dance music continues to grow and expand in the future.
