Get ready to dance the Sunday Scaries away when Day Trip takes over the patio at Academy LA all summer long – this year’s lineup is solid!
Day Trip has exploded on the scene in a huge way over the past few years as the brand catapulted itself into the hearts and minds of house and techno lovers in Los Angeles and beyond. While these professional party-throwers have recently made the jump into the festival circuit with their very own Day Trip Festival and others like Skyline Los Angeles, their roots at Academy LA continue to grow deeper with each passing summer.
Last year saw Day Trip re-emerge with a flurry of fantastic artists and showcases for dance music lovers in Southern California to check out – and now they’re back in action this year with another hearty helping all summer long. The run of shows kicks off on May 29 with Biscits, Joshwa, and Coco & Breezy, and from there they definitely aren’t letting off the gas in the slightest.
Standouts found on Day Trip’s Summer Schedule include artists like Boys Noize (June 12), Bleu Clair (July 3), and HoneyLuv (August 14). Other showcases that will take place include ones from hau5trap with sets from artists like Black V Neck, Wenzday, and House Divided on June 11, which breaks from their standard Sunday-Funday activities, akin to Moon Boots on July 4.
Further Sundays you shouldn’t miss out on including the shows featuring Westend, KC Lights, and Miss Dre on July 10, Chapter & Verse, Deeper Purpose, and Ranger Trucco on July 24, and Gene Farris, Mason Maynard, and Max Low on August 21. There’s also a “very special guest” set to play on September 4, and the final show of the summer with Sacha Robotti on September 25 is sure to be filled with stunning house and techno tunes as well.
