Electric Forest continues to foster community engagement by allowing fans to participate in their Plug In programs all weekend long.

Electric Forest is set to return on June 23-26 and host headliners Disclosure, The Disco Biscuits, GRiZ, Sylvan Esso, Porter Robinson, Slander, Fisher, Louis The Child, and Big Gigantic. In addition to these major names, attendees can also look forward to three special performances from The String Cheese Incident as well as other sets from Big Wild, CloZee, Duke Dumont, LSDREAM, John Summit, and more.

Beyond the music, the palpable magic of Electric Forest comes from its attendees and their participation at the festival itself. Embracing its value of community engagement, Forest HQ will continue with its Plug In Programs this year to allow fans and creators to shape the beauty of the festival by sharing their talents. Whether you are a designer, artist, musician, content creator, builder, teacher, party planner, or movement-based performer you will certainly want to check out what these programs have to offer.

One such program offered by Electric Forest is The Art Installation Sponsorship Program. Now in its 9th year, this is an opportunity for artists to work together with the Electric Forest production team to bring their creative vision to life. Any artist can submit their idea and, if selected, will receive a grant and support to bring that idea to the Forest grounds.

The Brainery Workshops invites fans to share their passions and unique skillsets with other festival-goers through workshops. In previous years there have been a variety of workshops hosted by fans including meditation practices, beatboxing classes, dance and art workshops, and a Pride Parade. If you have been craving an opportunity to share your passion with the world this will be the perfect opportunity.

If you are a storyteller then The UnMEDIAted Creator Incubator will be the Plug In Program you should explore. Whether you are a photographer, videographer, Tik Toker, Twitch streamer, podcaster, or any other form of digital artist – you can help tell the story of Electric Forest by submitting to this program. Winning proposals will receive working wristbands and a spot on the EF Creative Media team.

Those aren’t the only Plug-In Programs for fans to get involved with. Other programs offered are The Wish Machine, Sticker Design Contest, Her Forest, Electricology, and EF Radio, to name a few. Check out the full list of opportunities on the Electric Forest website and see what program fits you best. Those who are interested in connecting with others can also check out the official Facebook Group.

Zachary Lefevre has been listening to electronic music since the early 2000s. Although his first live show was underground hip-hop, he began listening to a variety of different genres and found his niche within electronic community. After attending more concerts and festivals, Zachary was seeking out a platform that would allow him to express his passion and love for live music and share it with friends, family, and the world. Having always been an avid writer he began to combine the two arts and shortly after writing his first article Zachary became part of the EDM Identity team in August 2015.
