Beatport Unveils New Mobile App and Brand Design

Beatport continues to expand their offerings for DJs with the release of a new mobile app for the LINK ecosystem and a fresh look as well.

One brand that continues to push its own boundaries, as well as the rest of the scene forward, is Beatport. During the height of the pandemic they kept everyone steady with consistent livestreams, further showcased unique sides of dance music with new label pages, and expanded their digital offerings. Now, they’ve announced the latest updates to happen as they’ve received a refreshed look along with the launch of their new iOS app that will help bolster Beatport LINK even more.

While Beatport LINK launched back in 2019 and a web app was unveiled earlier this year, one aspect that was missing from the platform was the ability for DJs on the go to be able to access it with ease. This newly launched app will allow them to do just that, as DJs can now manage their digital libraries and playlists to the fullest extent while seamlessly integrating into performance environments as well. Android users should also sit tight, as an app for those devices is in the works and due out later on in 2021.

“Over the last two years we have been relentless in our mission to develop products that empower our customers,” said Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels. “Beatport LINK is the centerpiece of our strategy to give our customers the ability to stream the richest collection of electronic music available anywhere. This new mobile app is an important extension of the LINK platform, giving DJs the ability to discover new music, assemble and perfect performance-ready setlists and transition them directly into their native environments. It’s a hugely powerful tool that our customers have been asking for and one which we think they are going to love.”

Further, the new mobile app also features a refreshed brand identity that Beatport unveiled as well. Working with Swedish design firm Kurppa Hosk to bring this new look and feel to life, their intent is to help solidify their position as an innovative, world-class service for the global DJ community. Head over to their website to get a taste of the new, clean look and feel, and keep your eye out for their logo and more!

Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
