One of the world’s top festivals, Primavera Sound, locks in two weekends in Barcelona featuring Disclosure, Massive Attack, Jamie XX, and more!

Festival aficionados from around the globe will descend on Barcelona and a handful of venues throughout the city for an unprecedented 11-day event. Primavera Sound will cover all the bases for music fans of all types, from the best in dance, indie, hip-hop, and beyond. After shelving the 2020 edition due to the global pandemic, it’s time to pick up where they left off by delivering the highest quality of music for fans far and wide. To kick off their return they’ve unveiled an immense, almost overwhelming list of artists set to perform, with more additions to follow in the coming months.

The first weekend will run from June 2-4, 2022, at Parq del Fórum featuring incredible artists such as headliners Massive Attack, Tame Impala, and Gorillaz, as well as a sensational undercard to boot. Also joining the weekend one fun will be, Disclosure, Jamie XX, DJ Shadow, Caribou, DJ Harvey, and Ben UFO. If weekend one is any indication of what’s to come, Primavera 2022 will go down in history as one of the largest festivals in the history of the world.

Before we can dive into the second weekend, the city venues take over, better known as Primavera a la Ciutat, which will run from June 5-8, 2022 at a handful of Barcelona’s premier indoor venues, including Apolo, Razzmatazz 1 and 2, Sidecar, and many more. Marking over 150 shows between the four days is an excellent opportunity to catch any sets you may have missed during weekend one. All attendees that hold tickets to either weekend will have the chance to attend these club events free of charge.

The second weekend is set to take place June 9-11, 2022, will return to Parq del Fórum and will be headlined by none other than the sensational Dua Lipa, along with Tyler the Creator and Interpol. Also joining the weekend two festivities is the always incredible Bicep, Black Coffee, Nicola Cruz, and Khruangbin. Yet, the madness doesn’t stop there. Lorde will return to the festival circuit after an extended hiatus, along with Moguai, and Run The Jewels.

If you’re still hanging on after ten days of mind-blowing sets, house and techno fans rejoice. Closing out this incredible run will be the must-attend Brunch on the Beach party on June 12. World-class selectors Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz, Peggy Gou, Monolink, and more take control of the decks along the shores of Sant Adrià de Besòs. A daytime festival of some of the world’s top DJs will put the stamp on one of the globe’s most iconic runs of music in recent history.

All tickets already purchased for the 2020 and 2021 editions will allow you to attend one weekend of Primavera Sound 2022 Barcelona – Sant Adrià. However, it is up to you to choose which weekend works best for you. Tickets for 2022 go on sale June 1 via DICE. Visit their website for more information.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
