Las Vegas-based artist black a.m. flexes his skills with an amazing mix brimming with IDs, improv guitar, and infectious tunes!
Few artists combine live instrumentation and electronic production as harmoniously as Sinclair Wheeler, also known as black a.m., does. This Las Vegas-based producer and multi-instrumentalist has had his share of influence across all genres of music, working with artists both large and small while also honing his own skills in the studio.
black a.m.’s releases stand out as truly unique as he incorporates powerful guitar chords and slick riffs with driving house beats and hard-hitting basslines. And to further showcase his abilities as a guitarist, he signed on to back rapper Machine Gun Kelly for multiple tours and even provided direct support for NGHTMRE on The Portal Tour as well.
Now, after the release of “T.S.O.F.H. (The Story Of Frankie’s House)” and his performance during the Park N Rave with NGHTMRE, black a.m. swung by to spin a mix for the This Is Home series. The half-hour mix is filled with magic as he leads with an unreleased tune and some improv guitar licks before getting into a heavy dance groove.
From there, he expertly weaves in and out of hand-picked tunes like Gorgon City’s “You’ve Done Enough” and Huxley’s “Freekon” before giving us another taste of his own productions. This includes everything from his remix of NGHTMRE and Gunna’s “Cash Cow,” as well as his ID with Kompany and the aforementioned single that dropped earlier this year.
In a world where we hear plenty of homogenized sounds, black a.m. brings a fresh new take to electronic music and is an artist to keep your eye on for some time to come. Be sure to give this exciting mix a spin below and follow him on socials to stay up to date with everything this talented multi-instrumentalist is up to.
