Rising house and techno artist Qrion is looking to enter the NFT era in style by teaming up with Taiwan-based artist pplpleasr for a unique drop.
One topic that has dominated headlines near and far over the past few months has been the growing craze surrounding NFTs. Artists like deadmau5, Disclosure, and Flume quickly jumped into the community and delivered some stunning pieces of art, while others like ATTLAS teamed up with visual artist Cyclo to produce a series as well. Now, Qrion is joining in on the fun by working with pplpleasr to create a fresh NFT called QLOUDPLSR.
The sale for QLOUDPLSR is set to begin on Friday, April 23 at 5pm PT, and will run for a full week with 30 limited edition NFTs available. Not only will this NFT feature stunning artwork from pplpleasr but will also bring forth an unreleased, ambient soundtrack from Qrion. She had previously showcased her ambient style on Anjunadeep’s Reflections, Vol. 2, so these new sounds will be a delight for anyone who grabs an edition.
For this piece, I wanted to create a short and calming ambient track. I love showing the ambient side of myself as an artist. The inspiration for the sound came from a vision of cloud imagery and the calm water surface which ppl plsr created and represented through the artwork. I used LFO (low-frequency oscillation) to make the music sound floaty and added some hi-pass filters to make the sounds feel calm. The Japanese script rotating around the cloud is our favorite proverbs. Mine meaning “do what you love and success will come”.

This unique NFT is a change of pace from other auctions that have taken place over the past few months, as it will be done as a bonding curve sale. The more tokens that are purchased to redeem the NFT, the ETH value of those tokens rises as well while the number of tokens is also being capped.
