wev Crafts Up a House Mix to Showcase the Sound of Brooklyn

Rising house and techno artist wev crafts an energetic mix to showcase the sound of Brooklyn and get everyone in a groove!

Brooklyn-based artist wev is someone who should be on the radar of any house and techno lover looking to get into a groove. Taking his influences from retro electronica and the earliest days of the internet, he’s dropped a number of tracks such as “fixate,” “temple,” and “worldwide,” before the pandemic dominated the planet in 2020. Not letting it get him down though, wev pressed on with tunes such as “poly” and “let you go” with Birocratic that are simply incredible.

More recently, wev set his sights on continuing his rise in 2021 by continuing to press on with his Worldwide Transmission mix series and some fresh music as well. Earlier this month he dropped a new track titled “technobody” on Project Supertouch with fellow house artist HOODBOI. The tune showcases their unique style and crisp production talents and is sure to get you energized for the warmer days ahead this season.

Now, to help put his skills as a DJ on full display, wev has spun up a mix to highlight both his own style and that of his home base in Brooklyn. Throughout the hour he takes listeners on a journey that’s brimming with some stunning sounds in the realm of house and techno, and if you close your eyes you can almost imagine being in the concrete jungle that’s New York City.

New York has been a constant source of energy for me to create, and I’ve been blessed to make friends with creatives I look up to greatly. grateful to have such a vibrant community around, and eager to start playing shows out here once things open back up!

Take a trip with wev through his musical mind and give his exclusive This is Home mix a spin below. And don’t forget to grab a copy of “technobody” on Bandcamp to support this rising artist!

Although his first live show was underground hip-hop, he began listening to a variety of different genres and found his niche within electronic community. After attending more concerts and festivals, Zachary was seeking out a platform that would allow him to express his passion and love for live music and share it with friends, family, and the world. Having always been an avid writer he began to combine the two arts and shortly after writing his first article Zachary became part of the EDM Identity team in August 2015.
