Pandora launches the Game Time series with exclusive playlists from artists including Marshmello, The Glitch Mob, Cray, Steve Aoki, and more.
Music and gaming complement each other like peanut butter and jelly. Both industries cater to creating a space for people to escape from reality, are insanely entertaining, and are also a great way for communities to come together and nerd out. The pandemic increased global interest and participation in gaming as a whole tenfold, so what better way to set the tone for your next gaming session than with a curated playlist from your favorite artist?
That’s what inspired streaming service, Pandora, to launch its brand new series of playlists dubbed Game Time. The series consists of exclusive playlists from producers, DJs, and rappers who are huge gamers at heart as well. Each playlist is a collection of hand-picked tracks from each artist that caters to their specific gaming vibe. So whether you’re into Fortnite, Call of Duty, Madden NFL, Little Nightmares 2, or NBA2K — there’s a special one just for you.
To kick things off, Pandora partnered up with a massive list of dance music artists that include the likes of Steve Aoki, Cray, Slushii, Marshmello, Sikdope, Gryffin, and more. What’s even cooler is that Pandora included independent labels Proximity and Monstercat in on the fun, too. And we’d like to give a massive shoutout to Cray for holding it down for the women. She’s the only woman on the list, and she’s a huge gamer who is also very active on her Twitch channel. We look forward to seeing more women represented in the future as well. (cough, cough)
This is just the beginning of the series as Pandora plans to add more playlists from other artists in the future. For now, check out the list of producers and DJs who contributed to this very cool series by clicking on their names below, and let us know which playlist is your favorite down in the comments below.
