Elements Festival officially postpones its rescheduled September edition to Memorial Day Weekend in 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Back in March, Elements Festival acted quickly in the face of the global pandemic to reschedule their dates to the fall with the hope that there would be more stability for it to take place. Remaining in contact with local authorities during this time, they also hosted a small, capped attendance event called In My Elements in July that featured two points of COVID-19 testing and safety measures that was successful as well.
But as the newly aligned September dates came closer by the day it seemed less certain their main festival would not take place, and yesterday they delivered the official word that it would be postponed to 2021. “Due to Pennsylvania capacity regulations, it is with heavy hearts that we have to reschedule Elements Festival to Memorial Day Weekend, 2021,” said the organizers. “While we are disappointed that we won’t be getting lost in the forest with you this year, we are excited for our return in 2021.”
While this news is saddening for the Elements family, there is a positive to the festival’s return in 2021 with the news that they’ve reconfirmed a majority of the 2020 lineup for the new dates in 2021. Additionally, Elements Festival has teased they’ve added some big acts that will be announced in the future as well.
Those who purchased passes have the option to let them roll over to 2021 or 2022 automatically, which will also grant some extra perks including a discount on a future event, bar credit, and limited edition pendant. But if attending a future edition isn’t in the cards, full refunds will be available for those who would like to exercise that option.
Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.
