Ultra Music Festival might be cancelled but the party will continue on over the airwaves as they’ve teamed up with SiriusXM for the Ultra Virtual Audio Festival.
As the world continues to quarantine itself during the coronavirus outbreak, many artists and brands have already begun to host live streams to help pass the time and connect with their fans. Now, Ultra Music Festival is making good on their promise from earlier this month and a virtual edition of the festival has officially been announced: Ultra Virtual Audio Festival.
From Friday, March 20 to Monday, March 23, UMF Radio will be taking over Channel 52 on SiriusXM for the Ultra Virtual Audio Festival that fans from around the world can tune into. The channel, formerly known as Electric Area and more recently Diplo’s Revolution, will continue the longstanding relationship between SiriusXM and UMF as the two brands have worked together on broadcasts for 15 years.
“With the postponement of beloved events, necessary changes in people’s everyday life, and need for social distancing, we know our listeners are seeking a sense of community more than ever,” said Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM.
Artists who will be featured over the course of the weekend include Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Major Lazer, Lost Frequencies, Oliver Heldens, Nicky Romero, and more. Stay tuned for scheduling and more information that will arrive as we get closer to the weekend.
Wondering how you can tune in? Ultra Music Festival ticket holders will receive an email offering access to SiriusXM’s UMF Radio and its other programming, so keep your eyes peeled for that info. Otherwise, you can sign up for a free trial of SiriusXM to check it out or if you’re a normal subscriber to the service simply tune in!
UMF Radio is a weekly broadcast on SiriusXM’s Channel 52 that features two hours of the freshest dance music beats every Saturday from 3:00—5:00 pm PT.
