“With Quilt, I wanted to convey a unique concept and emotion different to my previous track, with a bare instrumental I decided to tease some more tactile textures and themes that generally wouldn’t reside with vocals. I tried using lots of smooth transients to build up an ethereal vibe throughout the track, with lots of melodic synths to shine through the song and create the uplifting atmosphere. It resulted in a dynamic and diverse progression that I felt would be a great start to the year to present something new and undefined.”
