Premier Las Vegas venue Wet Republic is receiving a facelift ahead of the 2020 pool party season that is set to feature artists like Tiesto, Steve Aoki, and Illenium.

Since it first opened back in 2008 the Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has become renowned for being one of the top party destinations that Sin City has to offer. Each season, thousands of music lovers and clubbers head to the massive 54,500 square foot poolside mecca for some fun in the sun with their friends.

Now, after a decade of providing some of the most memorable pool party experiences on the Strip, Hakkasan Group has announced that Wet Republic has received a revamp for the upcoming season. Enlisting the Rockwell Group to give the venue its new look, they plan to create a new stage with enhanced audio/visual elements, two new plunge pools, and more.

“WET REPUBLIC is a renowned daylife leader not only in Las Vegas but around the world,” said Derek Silberstein, executive vice president of nightlife for Hakkasan Group. “Our reputation is anchored by crafting remarkable experiences for our guests. The revamp of WET REPUBLIC and its impressive new offerings allow us to continue to do so on an unprecedented level.”

This new design will allow for better sightlines of the DJ booth and is intent on creating a more engaging experience for those who are catching a show. Audiotek will provide a 4,000 square foot LED display that will be paired with a 13-foot interactive cube above the artist to take things to the next level visually.

The new stage isn’t the only modification to make the revamp of Wet Republic pop, though.

Hakkasan Group splurged on L-Acoustics Kara and ARCS II speakers for the venue to put cutting edge sound front and center. These speakers provide sound for nightclubs like OMNIA and major festivals including Tomorrowland and Coachella so you know you’ll be receiving the best sound possible while dancing away in the pool.

And if you were thinking about leveling up and joining the VIP ranks you’re in luck as they’ve enhanced their posh cabana offerings as well. Two new plunge pools will be featured in a secluded area with a prime vantage point for attendees looking to take a quick dip. Additionally, twelve upgraded bungalows will provide the perfect escape for those who looking for some privacy while enjoying their time at the pool as well.
