The already packed lineup for All My Friends Music Festival: DTLA has added Diplo and MK to the mix but with a twist. Will you be heading to Los Angeles for this fest?

Ever since the lineup for All My Friends Music Festival in Downtown LA dropped earlier this summer, the hype has been continually building for the upcoming edition. Returning to Skylight ROW DTLA for two days packed full of house, techno, and bassy beats, the festival boasts of headliners Justice, Black Coffee, and Idris Elba along with a list of talented artists ranging from DJ Harvey to Wongo as well.

Now, Gary Richards has even more great news for those who will be attending on October 19-20 with the announcement that Diplo and MK will be taking the stage together for a one-of-a-kind deep house experience. While MK was teased earlier this week to the delight of those who can’t make it down to CRSSD Festival in San Diego, the word that Diplo would be joining him was definitely a surprising one.

While the pairing might seem out of the ordinary at first, when you look at both artist’s passion for house music it makes perfect sense. MK has been known to churn out some of the top tracks in the scene while also curating sounds on his Area10 imprint, while Diplo just recently launched his new label Higher Ground focusing on all sounds that live in the realm of house music. We can’t wait to see what sort of energy these two will bring to the stage when they’re both behind the decks.

Speaking about his passions for house music and Higher Ground, Diplo stated, “House is where it all came from. Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago and Detroit almost forty years ago. The genre has always been incredibly important to me, and Higher Ground is our homage to the legends and opportunity to champion new sounds and artists from around the world pushing the genre forward.”

Two-day GA and VIP tickets are available now via their website. Check out the lineup below and let us know if you’ll be attending in the comments!
