The Untz Festival returns for another edition with its biggest lineup yet featuring Space Jesus, Boogie T, Subtronics, and more!
If you’re looking for a weekend filled with bass music in Central California, then The Untz Festival is definitely for you. Hosted at the Mariposa Fairgrounds on June 1-2, this fourth edition of this festival is shaping up to be one of the best yet. While it might be one of the freshest festivals in the scene, they’ve never been a slouch when it comes to building stacked lineups of underground bass music talent and this year will be no different.
Headlining The Untz Festival for the second time will be none other than Space Jesus, and after catching him recently at the Fonda Theatre it’s clear that he’s absolutely on his game right now. Boogie T, Bleep Bloop, and Subtronics are also taking the stage at the festival over the weekend among plenty more. You also won’t want to miss the full Slug Wife Takeover with Kursa, KLO, and Seppa. Freddy Todd and Of The Trees are playing the Friday early arrival party, so you damn well better get there with time to spare!
This year both the Main Stage and Wormhole Stage will feature sound systems from the reigning champion of bass music, Funktion-One Sound. The Sub.Mission Stage will have a Hennesey system, and the Shadwotrix Stage will have PKs. Without a doubt, this trifecta makes up the best sound system experience in the festival scene, and I’m excited to bounce between them to experience all their strengths and weaknesses.
