Chicago’s Spring Awakening has released a sneak preview of their brand new 2019 setup, including four unique stage designs and a massive new layout.

The buzz surrounding the upcoming edition of Spring Awakening has continued to grow after the announcement of their stacked lineup earlier this year. Since then, more information has trickled in including the addition of lockers on site and a poster contest for attendees to enter. React Presents has also announced that there will be shuttles operating throughout the duration of the festival to ensure attendees can return home safely, as well as discounted hotels near their new suburban Hoffman Estates location.

A staple of the Chicago dance music scene since 2012, Spring Awakening originally took place at Soldier Field and later moved to Addams-Medill Park. This year the festival has moved once again and will now make their home at Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates. While their most recent location was relatively small and crowded, the new venue will feature 27 acres of space and plenty of room for epic production and stage design. We now have our first sneak peek at this new location, as SAMF has released a preview showcasing the layout and stages.

The video starts with a sight that returning SAMFers will be familiar with: the big Spring Awakening banner at the entrance to the festival. Several stages are then presented. The first two are enclosed stages, similar to where the Bass Kitchen and Trance Arena were held in recent years. After a quick flyover of the Ferris Wheel and Silent Disco area, we’re introduced to the two main stages. Usually known as the Equinox and Solstice Stages, the production on these two has consistently improved since leaving Soldier Field and this year is no exception.

Watch the video below and mentally prepare yourself for SAMF this year!

With a lineup featuring Martin Garrix, Galantis, Chris Lake, Zomboy, and more, Spring Awakening 2019 will continue its reign as the premier electronic dance music festival in the Midwest.
