Lightning in a Bottle Announces New Venue for 2019

Lightning in a Bottle has announced their new venue for 2019, the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area in Kern Country, California.

After tons of behind the scenes work the wait is finally over. Festival organizers have announced the new home of Lightning in a Bottle! This year the festival will be held at the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area, taking place on the weekend of May 8 – 12. It will be an exciting adventure experiencing Lightning in a Bottle in a new location and I cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store!

The new venue in Kern County, California, is substantially smaller and greener than the festival’s previous home in Bradley, which will create a more intimate feel. Because of these more compact grounds, this year’s attendance will be reduced to 20,000 – so don’t sleep on securing your tickets! While the venue has been officially announced by Lightning in a Bottle, they are still in the process of fully securing permits. Stay tuned for more updates on this process.

“As in previous years, the full permitting process involves feedback from many county departments and we will continue to finalize various aspects of the festival operations with these county departments over the coming weeks. This is a normal aspect of large scale event production that we are used to working through. We have secured the necessary temporary event permit for the park and are confident that the additional planning steps necessary to have the event as scheduled will proceed successfully.”
