On September 8, 2018, Monolink brings his hypnotic sounds to Marty’s on Newport in Orange County!
Steffen Linck, a multi-instrumentalist known as Monolink, is set to perform a wonderful live set at an intimate venue, Marty’s on Newport in Tustin, CA on September 8. Monolink has been busy touring around the world this year, and we are very excited for him to return to Southern California!
It’s been about four months since Amniotic was released and I have to admit, I am still enraptured by the album and listen to it quite often. The deep hypnotic beats, melodic sounds, and vocals transport my soul through a realm of sonic exploration. After seeing his live performances at Flying Circus in Los Angeles and at Lightning in a Bottle this year, his music still absolutely blows me away. I always have a great amount of respect for artists who sound just as good or even better live compared to their recordings; Monolink is definitely one of them.
Marty’s on Newport is an intimate entertainment venue with a full bar and classic diner food options. I’ve actually never been to this venue before, but it looks like a small and cozy spot. I’ve always been a fan of smaller venues for that intimate feeling. The only downside is when it gets too crowded and you feel like a sweaty sardine. However, it’s nice to actually be able to see the artist perform instead of looking at the back of hundreds of heads.
