Outside Lands becomes the first major U.S. Music Festival to host a curated cannabis experience, Grass Lands!
Outside Lands returns to Golden Gate Park the weekend of August 10-12 and will host a variety of music, food, art, comedy, and specialty vendors. This year’s headliners include The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine, and Janet Jackson with support from Odesza, DJ Snake, Illenium, Portugal. The Man and many more! Surely the music will be stellar, but attendees can also look forward to a gourmet selection of food and beverages among other plant-based indulgences at Grass Lands.
The festival has hosted all types of specially curated areas in the past including Beer Lands, Wine Lands, and Choco Lands. This year, Outside Lands will host its first-ever cannabis-focused area, Grass Lands, curated by Highland Events in collaboration with Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly. You must be 21+ to enter and no cannabis products will be sold on site; however, this is a huge win for everyone involved!
Grass Lands will manifest as a Town Square in SoPo (South of the Polo Field) and feature The Greenhouse with “budtenders” who can answer any questions and educate attendees on the medicinal properties of cannabis. The Confectionery features delicious and savory treats. The Flower Shop featues flower crowns, a cannabis-themed Farmers Market, an interactive Smell Wall, and a delivery service with a wide variety of cannabis products for your viewing pleasure.
This year, Grass Lands will showcase leading companies in the cannabis and technology industries including:
- Highland Events
- Cookies
- Ona.Life
- Flow Kana
- CannaCraft
- Kiva Confections
- Lemonnade
- True Terpenes
- Mesh Brands
- Sunday Goods
- Pax Labs
- Jetty Extracts
- Emerald Exchange
- Barbary Coast
“Outside Lands is always exploring different ways to create a unique and memorable festival experience for attendees, while also celebrating our Northern California community. Much the way that Wine Lands celebrates Napa and Sonoma as the leaders in U.S. wine production, Grass Lands will shine a light on the area’s importance as pioneers in the cannabis world. With recreational marijuana now legal in California, there is so much to discover. We are excited to be the first major festival in the country to offer attendees the chance to learn about the latest in cannabis development.”
– Rick Farman, co-founder of Superfly, co-producers of Outside Lands.
Be sure to stop by this specially curated experience at this year’s Outside Lands. Learn something new about cannabis and be part of the first-ever cannabis-focused area at a major U.S. music festival!
