What was your first electronic music event?
Beyond Wonderland Bay Area 2012
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
Afrojack and Tiesto’s music.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
Meeting my rave soulmate at Nocturnal Wonderland SoCal 2015 for their 20th Anniversary. I’ll never forget the moment when Kaskade played “Let Me Disarm You” is when we knew we were meant to be a rave couple. I will forever cherish this moment when Kaskade dropped by my boyfriend’s work unexpectedly and when he told him the story, he had the biggest smile on his face and was glad his music brought us together!
What is your favorite festival or event?
Every event is my favorite because I create new memories with new and old friends. I’ve tried to attend to every Insomniac festival in the U.S.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
There are so many EDM songs that are my favorite but the one song that got me into EDM was listening to “Sandstorm” by Darude.
Who are your favorite artists?
There’s too many to name but if I were to choose one it would be Kaskade.
What are your favorite genres?
Trance, Psytrance, House, Techno
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I’ve started the NorCal Raves community on Facebook and Instagram to help promote events throughout the Bay Area and it has expanded exponentially to promoting events in Southern California to worldwide. Working with platforms such as Insomniac and other production companies to spread the beauty of what dance music festivals have to offer.
Creating a network for ravers to meet during Kandi meetups has been a blessing as I meet new and old ravers around the U.S. These festivals are simply reunions of new and existing friendships.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
I’m currently a Medical Assistant trying to go to Medical School. No matter what career path you choose, music festivals are always a place to be free and escape from reality. There are no judgments at the events and that’s why I feel at home at every event.
