On Friday, January 19 bass house artist Low Steppa is set to take the decks at Avalon Hollywood!
Low Steppa is a name that every bass house fan should be well aware of. The reigning king of the genre is so well revered that his name is essentially synonymous with the style. Though he had been in the music game for quite some time, 2013 was the year he catapulted into the public eye with his bootleg of Route 24’s tune “My Love”. The bootleg garnered over one million views on YouTube and effectively thrust Low Steppa in the spotlight.
Since his ascent to stardom, Low Steppa has played numerous festivals and received support from many other artists as well. He’s played major festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Mysteryland while also playing clubs like Eden and Sankeys in Ibiza and Ministry of Sound in London. Additionally, he has received massive amounts of support from heavy-hitters like Pete Tong and Shadow Child.
Low Steppa is well revered and widely respected as a versatile artist and is known around the scene to be at the forefront of bass house. Not only does he illustrate this through his track selections and effortless mixing but also through the tracks he releases on his label, Simma Black. Through his label, he nurtures and curates the new and talented bass house and mentor the next generation.
