Road to ULTRA Australia 2018 || Date & Venue Announced

The inaugural Road to Ultra Australia’s date and venue have been officially announced!

Ultra Worldwide has certainly been dominating the global electronic market. Previously they had reached 5 of the 7 continents, we’re still waiting on Ultra Antarctica, and are finally expanding “Down Under”. The announcement was formally made during Ultra Miami this year, but at the time, little was known about the venue or date. Since then, they have confirmed that Road to Ultra Australia will occur on February 24, 2018, at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne.

It’s important to note that this is a Road to ULTRA event. Typically when Ultra expands to a new location, they begin with a one-day, are single-stage events/ However, Road to Ultra events still have the same focus as the main Ultra festivals.

The Road to Ultra Australia will occur just weeks before Ultra Music Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary in Miami. However, don’t expect this to be a small affair. Over 10,000 Ultranauts are expected to party in the Sidney Myer Music Bowl alongside the Yarra River and under the Melbourne skyline. The Sidney Myer Bowl is supremely iconic as it has housed acts such as ABBA, Daft Punk, and Bob Dylan. Plan for a massive outpouring of support and production.

Positioned underneath the Bowl’s canopy, the Road to ULTRA Australia Main Stage is set to be one of their most creative stage designs yet. With the lineup for Road to ULTRA Australia set to be released over the coming months, fans can also look forward to 2019, where Ultra will run two full-scale, multi-stage festivals in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Registration for tickets opened on July 30 on their website. Only those that register will gain the opportunity to purchase tickets when sales begin. Stay tuned to Road to Ultra Australia’s socials for further information.
