On Saturday, April 1st, get ready for a night of trance with Mark Sixma and Kristina Sky at Avalon Hollywood!
Heading the night is Dutch DJ and producer, Mark Sixma! Sixma is an amazingly dynamic artist who has been part of the trance scene for over 10 years. Armed with a background in music theory and classical piano, it’s no surprise that Sixma delved into the world of electronic music. He first started DJing at high school parties and local clubs before trying his hand at producing, however, it wasn’t until he graduated from college that he began to look at being a DJ as a full-time career. He saw massive amounts of success with one of his first releases, “Destination 6“, and since then Sixma’s career has been on fire. Sixma produces tracks under his name as well as his alias, M6. Mark Sixma is typically more of an uplifting trance and progressive sound while M6 is more of higher bpm almost tech-trance sound. Though Mark has been releasing music under his Sixma name, we can expect to see more of M6 as he re-introduced fans to M6 during Dreamstate Melbourne and recently released Elements, an entire album of M6 tracks. This weekend at Avalon, Sixma will deliver a mix of both dynamic styles to get the audience going.

Mark Sixma will be supported by fellow Dreamstate artist Kristina Sky. Sky recently smashed the decks during Dreamstate SoCal as well as Groove Cruise Miami. She has been involved in the scene since 2002 and has held a residency at Avalon Hollywood. Kristina Sky has released tracks on labels like Armada and Vandit and has played at multiple festivals such as A State of Trance 550 and Electric Daisy Carnival. She is known for her range and breadth in skill: Kristina Sky can play progressive-house as well as emotional, melodic and trance and everything in between.
