In the midst of its wild 10-day extravaganza celebrating an illustrious 10 years of unmatched techno and house mayhem, The BPM Festival has decided to take the event on the road!
When The BPM Festival began just ten short years ago founders Craig Pettigrew and Phillip Pulitano dreamed about bringing “bartenders, promoters, and musicians” together for a post new years celebration unlike any other. But what began as a small intimate event quickly ignited spread like wildfire. Today the festival has grown to accommodate more than 70,000 people with performances by some of the biggest names in the techno and house industry including Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, Green Velvet, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Pete Tong, and many more. What makes this event wildly unique is that The BPM parties are hosted both day and night at multiple venues in Playa Del Carmen, a picturesque beach town that runs along miles of soft white sand beaches and sparkling turquoise waters on the Mayan Riviera.

The BPM Festival: Brazil will be taking place this spring, from April 28th to May 1st in the gorgeous beach resort towns of Praia Brava, Itajai and Balneário Camboriú with Brazilian partner Gustavo Conti, owner of highly acclaimed Warung Beach Club. The open-air venue, famous for its golden sunrises, has been consistently ranked in the top 25 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs poll and is often cited as one of the “best clubs in the world” by many of the world’s most renowned underground DJs! After wrapping up the shenanigans over in Brazil, The BPM Festival will hit the dusty trail once again and make their way over to an untapped beach region in Portugal for the very first edition of The BPM Festival: Portugal. The festival will be partnering with Will Gregory with more details to be announced in the future.

This is what the founders of The BPM Festival had to say about their plans for expanding the brand:
“BPM’s organic growth over the last 10 years speaks to the integrity of the artists and the music that we present. We’re proud to have launched a dozen plus DJ careers and be a stand out platform for quality underground music. We are looking forward to expanding our vision and festival family aesthetic to Brazil and Portugal ” said Craig Pettigrew.
Phillip Pulitano continued, “after 10 years of honing our craft, we’re ready to take our grand show on the road. We hope to continue our commitment to diverse and forward-thinking lineups and expand to new territories and show the beauty of the different countries to our international fans who are the true techno tourists.”
