EDM Identity’s Re-Ranked DJ Mag Top 100 Results!

in Featured, News

Last week, we asked our readers to vote for their favorite DJs and help create a re-ranked Top 100 list of DJs. Voting closed today, and after all the dust had settled from the voting this year, we have your results.

DJ Mag annually releases a list, the DJ Mag Top 100, that names the top artists in electronic music, and each year we moan and groan about the placement of our favorite artists. Even artists like Dillon Francis have taken to social media to discuss their confusion about how this list is created. So, starting last year and vowing to do this every year going forward, we ask our readers to re-rank and vote on a new Top 100 list. So here are the Top 100 DJs, re-ranked off your votes!

We have had our first official tie, as Eric Prydz and Porter Robinson share the title of Top DJ. They actually ended with the exact same vote count too, no true solo-victor this year. I was stoked to see Madeon and Zeds Dead jump up significant ranks, and after a stellar 2016 it has been no surprise that Seven Lions jumped over other notable artists! A-Trak made the biggest leap this year, giving me hope that our readers here have respect for his skills behind the decks.

Where did you favorite artists land? Do you agree with the rankings on this list? Let us know in the comments!

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
