What was your first electronic music event?

My 1st music events go all the way back to the late 90s ! There was a REAL rave series in the north easy area run by a company called Boo. They were held in warehouses and super shady :)

What/who influenced you to attend your first event?

I used to love and still do Drum And Bass. Got my 1st mix tape and started listening. Raves where the only places where you could hear Drum And Bass live. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and only had a small handful of friends who were also into it :)

What is one moment from an event that was special and why?

Of course everyone meets people at raves and that is special. I remember meeting a girl at Above And Beyond at Nocturnal in like 2007. It was perfect cause we clicked right away and watched the whole set together. After she left with her friends but I somehow managed to get her info in the process and we dated for a bit after :)

What is your favorite festival or event?

At the moment, my favorite events are probably Time Warp, Movement, and Burning Man. I have partied in parts of Europe which is insane. In particular the vibes at Movement are really raw. You still get a sense that music is the priority and people are really there for the experience not because it’s the “cool thing” to do.

What is your favorite electronic song and why?

WOW! There is too many to count :) Currently I’m bumping Loco Dice new LP often. It’s just enough off the techno path to be enjoyable in multiple environments. All time, Sirens Of The Sea or some old school LTJ Bukem will always be my heart.

Who are your favorite artists?

Jeez! These questions :p Which genre… I’m really super feeling Pan Pot right now. They are on point and you can see their progression as DJs and producers.

What are your favorite genres?

DnB, Trance, Techno :) Then Glitch, Dubstep, and House

What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?

I have a show on YouTube called Rave Train :) A lot of people know me off of there as Johnny Blaze! I’ve also been a raver for a super long time and know a ton of people. I was active on a group called Plur Life and still friends with a lot of the other ravers on there.
