2015 was a particularly difficult year for Nicky Romero. While his label, Protocol Recordings was releasing great music from affiliated acts yet Romero himself was visibly absent. Later that year, the Dutch DJ opened up about his multi-year battle with anxiety and time away from the spotlight. Thankfully, this year, fans are seeing Romero back in the studio and on tour and 2016 is shaping up to be an amazing year for both Protocol Recordings and Romero.

Protocol kicked off 2016 with a massively successful event at Miami Music Week. The momentum continues as Protocol hosts the “Get Connected!” stage at Tomorrowland Brazil and Daydream Festival, both occurring later this month. Later in the year, the stage will make an appearance at Sziget Festival in August and ADE Melkweg in October.
“Get Connected” is all about giving back to loyal fans. Attendees are treated to energetic sets from Protocol residents including: R3hab, Arno Cost, Thomas Gold, Volt & State, Deniz Koyu and of course, Nicky Romero. The concept centers around the amazing connection and dedication between the Protocol Team and Protocol fans.
