Dreamstate SF 2016 || Grant’s Top 5 Artists

Dreamstate SF 2016 is approaching quickly, and I am excited to be heading up to the Bay Area to catch some amazing trance sets! Now, the lineup for the San Francisco version of Dreamstate is pretty different than the version that was launched last November in Southern California. There are definitely some repeat artists on this lineup, but for the most part a vast majority of the DJs who will be spinning are fairly well known in the electronic music community already.

This event is currently 90% sold out, so if you are thinking about going I would highly suggest purchasing a ticket as soon as possible. You can still grab tickets HERE!

Not sure where to stay? Insomniac Events has provided you with some hotel options that are fairly reasonable in regards to pricing and distance from the venue. Click HERE for that!

Without further ado, here are my top 5 must see acts at Dreamstate SF 2016 (in no particular order):

John O’Callaghan

My personal love affair with John O’Callaghan began when I first heard his track “Find Yourself” all the way back in 2009. Ever since hearing that track, JOC has been one of my favorite trance DJs. I catch him whenever I can and had an absolute blast at his set at Dreamstate SoCal back in November.

Solarstone

After catching his open-to-close set in San Diego last year at Lucent 5 at Spin Nightclub, I am convinced that Rich is one of the true kings of trance. Six hours of trance enabled me to vibe out to a perfect flowing set from beginning, to middle, and the end of trance. In an era in which its fairly rare to see normal sets beyond 2 hours maximum, that was definitely a special treat. I’d definitely make sure to check out his set!

Vini Vici

This is definitely a treat for me personally. I have never seen Vini Vici on a lineup in the United States…ever. So much like Simon O’Shine who made his debut at Dreamstate SoCal, this is definitely going to be a set that I’m going to be at . You might know Vini Vici from the very popular remix of “Free Tibet” (see below) or possibly the more famous tune, “The Tribe”. Regardless, I will insist that this is a must see.

Fleming & Lawrence

John 00 Fleming and Christopher Lawrence make up the duo Fleming & Lawrence, for those who weren’t sure or didn’t know. These two artists are both awesome on their own but when they combine forces it is magic. Check out their track from 2012, “Beyond The Limit” to get a feel for what’s headed your way. I’m excited to see this dynamic duo live in action next weekend!

Bryan Kearney

One of my favorite experiences at Dreamstate SoCal was Bryan Kearney’s set on the second day. From open to close he had my full attention with his set. Not only was his set fantastic, but it was a perfect way to close out one of my favorite events that I’ve attended ever. I’m looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table at Dreamstate SF.
