With Life in Color Miami 2016 less than a month away, if you have not already, you should probably decide if you will be getting a hotel or find a place to stay. After living in the Miami area for over 6 years, I have learned that there are a lot of different places to stay.
Lodging:
Just keep in mind that it is South Florida and may be on the expensive side depending on where you stay. If you decide to stay in Downtown Miami or in Miami Beach, you will be about 30-45 minutes from Sunlife Stadium. So keep in mind your location before booking for Life In Color.
For the best rates, check out www.hotels.com or www.hotwire.com. Make sure to put in Sunlife Stadium as your landmark, this will allow you to guarantee you can see hotels available that are closest to the actual venue of LIC.
Transportation to/from/around Life in Color:
Transportation can get a little bit on the expensive side depending on the location of your hotel. Taxi is always available but expect to pay an arm and a leg for the services. Uber or Lyft maybe your best bet if your looking to save money (This will probably be your best option). Now if you have never used Uber or Lyft, you can download their apps, and create an account then use any code to receive your first ride free (up to $20.00). This can prove extremely useful, just visit the Uber and Lyft websites to get the codes. Parking will also be available at Sunlife Stadium, but parking fee prices have not yet been released. Expect to pay around $15-25 for parking.
I know if you are traveling from Orlando, there are some companies who are doing a package deal for hotel and transportation for a combined price. Just ask around at local events, specifically to those that promote for different events in your area. We are not directly endorsing any of these hotel/transportation packages but there are many people that promote that will direct you in the right direction regarding these packages.
