Justin James – Space Sleaze EP
Release Date – December 8, 2015

Justin James is all about his deep love of the diverse elements of techno. Justin hails from Windsor, Ontario the same city as his label boss and techno icon Richie Hawtin. With Richie, Dubfire and many others as close, guiding influences, James has used this ammunition to fire his way to international recognition. We are proud to announce the release of his brand new EP, Space Sleaze available on his very own imprint, refused.! The EP features two versions of the track with vocals from artist Dan Diamond. The first offers listeners a dark, groovy techno record that underlines the words of Dan Diamond, while the second is an acapella, placing all the focus on the monologue.

Space Sleaze (Original Mix) – The track begins with heavy, thumping bass that hits you directly in the chest. The tone is set and the monologue from Dan stimulates your senses, while a frantic beeping creates a buildup. The record comes full circle, ending just as it had begun with small gasps of breath and relentless, thumping bass.

Space Sleaze (Dan Diamond Acapella) – starts off with the same heavy bass of its precursor, while nearly all of the remaining musical effects and elements are stripped clean. Your full attention is directed to the monologue. I cannot wait to see this acapella incorporated into other tracks and present in mixes.

Grant Gilmore

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
