Many people will say that EDM isn’t real music. Where are the instruments and where is the live element? They will ask with a smug look on their face because they can’t see beyond the computer screens that produce the music that we listen to. Artists have spent quite a bit of time to break out of that issue, you can look to live elements in acts like Gramatik, GRiZ, and Big Gigantic or even the live orchestral performances that have been put on by NERO and Above & Beyond. BBC Radio 1 has now done their best, with their Ibiza Prom celebrating many tracks that we all hold dear to our hearts.
