In a less than surprising announcement today, Goldenvoice announced that Beyoncé will NOT be playing the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this year.
The announcement, coming soon after her performance at the Grammy’s which clearly showed her lack of ability to move much throughout the performance, comes after Coachella 2017 sold out of tickets entirely. Beyoncé, who announced earlier this year that she was carrying twins, was speculated for quite some time now to either have a limited role at Coachella or would eventually be dropped entirely from the lineup. Citing concerns for her health due to a potentially rigorous schedule of shows in the coming months, what many fans have anticipated has now come true. In a statement posted to Coachella’s Facebook Page at 12:11pm Goldenvoice stated:
Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.

So, as it seems, Coachella will be announcing a new headliner to take the stage this April at the Polo Grounds in Indio. Beyoncé is a world-class talent, so hopefully, the replacement for her will be someone of the same caliber and will put on a fantastic performance too.
