Sensation, the proclaimed “World’s Leading Dance Event,” has been rather quiet over the last few months…now we know why.
While making a huge announcement of collaborating in Santiago, Chile on 21 April 2016, and popping down to Mexico City in late November 2016, Sensation has been slow to roll out information about other events this year. What they have rolled out is tidbits of excitement as they focus on a strong homecoming after the “Angels & Demons” theme of last year was met with some disdain by introducing a black and white, half and half theme.
As we gear up for the summer time swing, it’s time to bear down and get grooving to the huge, original theatrical music festival. While travel packages have been on sale for quite some time, hard tickets to the event sold out during the holiday period. Now, in February, Sensation is back with another batch of tickets ready to go, an announced theme, and a lineup drop too!
On 8 July 2017, Sensation transforms the Amsterdam ArenA one last time into a global nightclub for “The Final.”
But… the news that came is bittersweet… for this year’s Sensation is the last in Amsterdam.
That’s right. Officially, the news dropped by ID&T confirmed that Sensation, the world’s leading dance event, will end in Amsterdam after this edition. What precisely that means for the brand worldwide is unclear, though the trailer notes do mention that this edition has nothing to do with the “international tour.” So with a heavy heart, let us join together and celebrate life, united in white in the home of Sensation one more time under the summer skies.
