US Department of Justice documents surrounding the late Jeffrey Epstein include emails between accomplice Ghislane Maxwell and LA agent Casey Wasserman.
The US Department of Justice‘s January 30 disclosure of more than three million documents uncovered during investigations of late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein include 2003 emails between his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Wasserman CEO Casey Wasserman. Calls are now mounting for the latter to resign from his various professional roles.
“Casey Wasserman should step aside immediately,” stated LA City Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez regarding the Los Angeles executive’s position as chairman of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. “Anything less is a distraction and undermines efforts to make sure the Games truly reflect the values of a city that is for everyone.”
Bethany Cosentino of rock duo Best Coast has left Wasserman, a Los Angeles talent agency, because of the emails. “Ghislaine Maxwell is not a neutral character in a messy story — she is a convicted sex trafficker who helped facilitate the abuse of minors,” Cosentino wrote in a statement. “I did not consent to having my name or my career tied to someone with this kind of association to exploitation.”
Wasserman represents numerous dance music acts, including John Summit, John Digweed, and Levity. The latter denied having ever dealt with the CEO of the firm’s namesake directly. “I think I can speak for a lot of artists in saying that up until the last 24 hours we didn’t even know the company was named after a person, let alone knew the existence of ‘Casey Wasserman,'” a member of the dubstep trio wrote in a Facebook comment using their joint page.
Casey Wasserman has addressed the concerns in an apology. “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light,” he said. “I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”
A convicted child sex offender, human trafficker, and rapist, Epstein’s 2019 death in a jail cell was ruled a suicide. Maxwell, who recruited girls for him, was convicted of sex trafficking and conspiracy in 2021. She is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence.
In their 2003 emails, Maxwell enticed Wasserman by promising to wear a “tight leather flying suit” the next time they met, in addition to “rubbing” him in “spots that apparently drive a man wild.” In one message, Wasserman tells her, “I think of you all the time…”
The latest file release also includes mention of David Guetta, albeit brief and misspelled. On February 13, 2010, Epstein wrote to a recipient whose name was redacted, “davdi guetta will be at my house in march.” A spokesperson on behalf of David Guetta did not immediately respond to EDM Identity’s request for comment.
Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to figures like Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have been a source of speculation for years. The latest tranche of documents now adds the likes of Elon Musk, Sergei Brin, Mick Jagger, and Mohammad bin Salman to the list.
