Police are investigating after Maycon Douglas, a Brazil-Born, Portugal-based performer and reality TV personality, was found dead on a beach in Nazaré.

Maycon Douglas — a DJ, MC, skateboarder, and reality TV star based in Portugal — was found dead at 26 on the shoreline of Praia do Sul, a beach in the city of Nazaré.

Douglas was last seen on December 31, according to Jornal das Caldas, contrary to early social media reports that people reported seeing him at 5am on New Years Day after he went to a local bar. Later in the day on January 1, his car was found underwater near the São Miguel Arcanjo fort in Nazaré, along with signs that the vehicle breached nearby guardrails.

A team of six forensic divers searched the submerged wreckage, locating Douglas’ jacket but not his body. Then, on January 7, local fisherman Antonio Silva came across his corpse in the water nearby and recognized his tattoos, according to The Sun.

Born in Brazil and having relocated to Portugal at age four, Maycon Douglas was perhaps best known for his role on the reality television series Secret Story – Casa dos Segredos. He was also a prolific electronic music DJ and emcee specializing in styles like hip-hop, reggaeton, and trap under the moniker Juicy Rasta, as well as an avid skateboarder.

On the final day of 2025, Douglas made a telling Instagram post addressed to himself. A translation reads, “Maycon, 2025 was an intense year… a year of obstacles, constant challenges, and moments when the weight of the hatred around you tried to shake your path. There were difficult days, forced silences, and doubts that appeared without warning.”

The post continues: “But it was precisely in those moments that your greatest triumph was born: the strength to continue believing in the truth of who you are! Every difficulty brought you clarity. Every attack gave you more awareness. And every fall served to help you rise again with more certainty, more focus, and more courage to pursue your life projects and the dreams you never let die!”

A memorial service for Maycon Douglas was held yesterday, January 11. We here at EDM Identity express our sincere condolences for his family and loved ones.
