Breakaway Music Festival has consistently turned heads in recent years as it has expanded from coast to coast. Smack dab in the middle of the country is one of the latest to join the growing roster of experiences: Breakaway Dallas. The festival debuted this year, and although weather forced it to shift days, the takeaway for many was that it was a successful weekend for dance music lovers who flocked to Texas. Now, they’re planning on running Breakaway Dallas back for another round, and the lineup is sure to get feet moving on the dancefloor.
Last year’s edition of Breakaway Dallas brought a mixed bag of talent to the stage at Fair Park, and that trend will continue when it returns on April 10-11 next year. Immediate standouts in this year’s lineup include house music artists who continue to win over crowds, like FISHER and HUGEL. Others, like SG Lewis and SOFI TUKKER, are also set to bring forth plenty of their pop-forward grooves, while those looking for a dose of techno won’t want to sleep on Eli Brown and Lilly Palmer.
Other artists who will keep the dancefloor vibes alive and well include AMÉMÉ, AngryBaby, Night Tales, and Distant Matter, as well as those who lean into the UKG realm, such as Neumonic and Mary Droppinz. Bass is at a minimum overall, with the only artists fully repping the genre being Hedex, FLY, and LYNY, sorry headbangers!
