“It’s time to wake up,” said Dreamfields Festival’s organizers after 15 years of dance music memories in Lathum, Netherlands’ Rhederlaag recreation area.
Dreamfields Festival first took place in the Rhederlaag recreation of Lathum, Netherlands in 2011. Following a 15-year run, the gathering’s organizers have announced that the 2026 edition slated for July 11-12 will mark the grand finale of the gathering.
“Dear Dreamers, we have had 15 years of incredibly beautiful adventures with you,” reads an English translation of the brand’s Instagram post. “Dreamfields was born and grew thanks to your energy and love. It was one big dream, but now it’s time to wake up.”
It continues: “It’s time for THE FINAL DREAM. The best dream ever, which we’re going to experience with an extra day and 50,000 Dreamers.”
At no point in the statement does the Dreamfields team share the reasons for it ceasing operations after 2026. In both the US and abroad, a large number of festival organizers have recently cited rising costs and decreased spending among the coveted 18-24 demographic as having influenced their decision to call it quits.
Dreamfields Mexico, which looks to return in 2026, has not indicated that next year’s edition will be its last. On November 17, organizers encouraged fans to weigh in on where exactly the 2026 edition should take place.
At the time of writing, no headliners have been announced for Dreamfields Festival 2026. Ahead of the 2025 edition, the first names were revealed in January with the full lineup being finalized at the end of March. Nicky Romero, D-Block & S-Te-Fan, Emma Heesters, Ferreck Dawn, Freddy Moreira, Wildstylez, and CVNTS performed last year, on a bill that offered ten different genres across ten different stages.
Presale tickets go live Saturday, November 29 at 10am with the general on-sale starting at 11am. Sign up for updates and find additional information on the Dreamfields Festival website.
