Anyma will lend his expertise in curating immersive experiences to Riot Games’ 2025 League of Legends Worlds Opening Ceremony in Chengdu, China.
Anyma‘s penchant for putting on unforgettable spectacles has vaulted his name beyond the music world. Riot Games has enlisted the DJ, producer, and label boss as a co-creative director for League of Legends Worlds, the annual championship for Esports players of its League of Legends (LoL) game franchise.
Namely, Anyma (real name Matteo Milleri) and Hong Kong singer-songwriter G.E.M. will perform a special live rendition of this year’s anthem, “Sacrifice,” for ACT III of the Worlds 2025 Finals Opening Ceremony at Dong’an Lake Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium in Chengdu, China on November 9. The song was released earlier this month, and its accompanying music video highlights key moments in LoL Esports history since 2011.
Additional performers include Australian vocalist TEYA and US songstress Chrissy Costanza. The latter’s rock band, Against the Current, was responsible for the 2017 Worlds Championship anthem, “Legends Never Die.”
“I’ve been an avid gamer all my life, so headlining Worlds 2025 is a real honor,” said Milleri in a statement. “Riot Games’ consistent storytelling on such a large scale feels truly limitless. League of Legends has created universes that inspire millions, and I’m thrilled to bring my sound and touch into their world to push the boundaries of what’s possible through such an impactful medium.”
Milleri rose through the ranks of electronic music as one half of the duo Tale of Us alongside Carmine Conti, and the two launched the Afterlife record label in 2016. It soon expanded into an event brand responsible for some of the most jaw-dropping spectacles in modern rave. Through his solo project, Milleri has been able to sell out multiple nights at the Las Vegas Sphere in addition to performing at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
A special broadcast of the League of Legends Worlds 2025 Finals Opening Ceremony on November 9 will be available on the LoL Esports website.
