Okeechobee Music Festival is set to return for its first gathering in three years next March, and looked to Nigel Waymouth to create original artwork for the upcoming edition.

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is officially returning next year, and the hype is beginning to build for what’s to come. The festival, which has been on hiatus since 2023, is set to take place on March 19-22, 2026, under the direction of its original owner, Soundslinger. The organizers intend to bring Okeechobee back to its roots, promising an experience at Sunshine Grove that will be filled with music, art, and most importantly, community. Tickets for the festival are slated to go on sale September 12.

Soundslinger has been hard at work rallying a team of passionate individuals intent on helping the festival rise once again like a phoenix from the ashes, with the latest being Nigel Waymouth. This British artist became renowned for creating iconic posters for artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Who, and more, which helped define the trippy aesthetic of the psychedelic era in the ’60s. This is his first original poster art in over 50 years.

“Okee reminded me of something: not the scene, but the spirit,” Nigel Waymouth shared about his decision to work with the festival. “I felt it was time for a little revival, to show the next generation what their forefathers have produced. With this piece and all of my art, I hope to remind everyone to always give peace a chance!”

The celebration surrounding Waymouth’s work on this festival poster is a step in a different direction for Okeechobee. Rechulski, the festival’s founder and Soundslinger Chairman, made it clear that he wanted to “create a poster that would last for eternity” and emphasized honoring talented artists. That was taken to another level with the release of a behind-the-scenes documentary on YouTube that highlights Waymouth’s story and how he came to create the art for the upcoming edition.

Nowadays, generally speaking, lineup posters are inundated with artist names, and one cannot appreciate the art. I wanted to mark the moment by having a different artist interpret the art for the festival every year, starting with Nigel Waymouth. The whole process has been a lot of fun, and that’s what it’s all about.

While the tantalizing art has helped build hype, the announcement that tickets are slated to go on sale soon has kicked things up another notch for those planning to make their way back to Sunshine Grove in 2026. Four-day GA, GA+, and VIP tickets, various camping pass types, and VIP packages will be offered, as well as add-on culinary experiences, which can be explored via the ticketing page ahead of the sale.

The lineup for Okeechobee Music Festival’s upcoming edition is still yet to be revealed, but organizers have teased that it will be released alongside new experiences and other exciting details in the coming weeks. Past iterations of the festival have featured headliners such as Tame Impala, Kendrick Lamar, GRiZ, Skrillex, Post Malone, Excision, ODESZA, Porter Robinson, Rezz, and more.

The priority on-sale for tickets, camping passes, and other packages for Okeechobee Music Festival 2026 will kick off on Friday, September 12, at 11am ET. The general sale will began at 12pm ET that same day. Head to the festival’s official website to sign up for early access. A limited edition series of poster prints is on sale now via the official store.
