New York City had a swarm of over 5,000 music fiends coming together under Brooklyn’s K Bridge for Tinashe’s Boiler Room debut last month.

Surrounded by the heat of summer and dancing bodies, Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe, globally known as Tinashe, attracted a crowd of over 5,000 at Under The K Bridge in Brooklyn, as she served her debut Boiler Room set last month. And now, worldwide fans get to enjoy her full performance on YouTube.

The songwriter, producer, and DJ from Lexington, Kentucky, also featured eight dancers, making it the first time choreography was included in the London-based online music broadcaster. She laid out pulsing basslines, soulful vocals, and groovy rhythms that moved the dancefloor, while also joined by special guests that included Aluna, Coco & Breezy, and Blu DeTiger, who played bass during “No Broke Boys.”

The set kicked off with Tinashe spinning “Don’t Fall In Love With A Popstar,” before diving into her collaborations with artists like Schoolboy Q, Drake, Channel Tres, and Ms Banks. She also dropped tunes like Charli xcx’s “B2b,” Malaa’s “We Get Crunk,” and Yaeji’s “Raingurl,” before closing her set with a flurry of her singles, including “Bouncin” and “Getting No Sleep.”

Tinashe is riding a wave of momentum from the release of her seventh studio album, Quantum Baby, which dropped last summer. Led by her single “No Broke Boys,” the album features production from Ricky Reed and Zack Sekoff, and is proving to be a staple in the artist’s hefty discography. Tinashe later teamed up with Colorado DJ and producer, Disco Lines, to release a remix of the song that’s received over 100 million streams.

With hits like “Nasty” and a noteworthy collaboration on “No Broke Boys,” Tinashe shows listeners she isn’t just a viral hit, she’s defining a moment in music.
