Wolfstax has been on a tear this summer, and he dropped off a mix that’s filled to the brim with trippy tunes from the weirder corners of the house scene.
Artists from the Pacific Northwest have continued to turn heads in the electronic music scene over the years, and Wolfstax is one of the latest to have begun staking a growing claim in the scene. Hailing from Olympia, this rising DJ and producer spent years developing his sound before fully embracing house music.
The past few years have seen Wolfstax deliver tracks on labels like Gold Bloc, Qwerk, Eklectic Sounds, Uniting Souls, Dynamic Musik, and more. Recent months have seen him drop “Party Talk” and “With Your Body” on Wyldcard, as well as two tunes with Rodney Dinkles, “Don’t Cut It” and “I’m Hype,” on Quack Squawk Honk.
Beyond his releases, Wolfstax has become a frequent face on lineups in the Pacific Northwest as well. Earlier this summer, he dominated the decks at Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge and has an upcoming performance at the official afterparty for Day Trip Seattle. The vibe leans toward the unexpected, blending eerie synth work and spacious percussion with just the right amount of low-end punch.
