Phoenix-based artist Gio Lucca just launched his new imprint, ISO, with a rework of “Cocaine Cool” and dropped off a mix that’s perfect for the summer months.
The past year has been a busy one for rising phenom Gio Lucca. The Phoenix-based, Peruvian-born artist has had huge house tracks on PNK Records, Lisa’s Kickback, Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings, and many other labels. He’s also toured extensively around the US, hitting cities like New York, Miami, and recently Los Angeles.
Now, into the second half of 2025, Gio Lucca has launched his imprint, ISO, which is a logical next step for the rising artist. The first release is his heavily supported rework of “Cocaine Cool” by Laid Back. A more modern deep tech take on the classic tune, the original, which came out over 14 years ago. This track has been heavily played by many artists, including Joseph Capriati, and was played by Michael Bibi during his Solid Grooves party at Club Space during Miami Music Week.
With some exciting releases in the future on Cristina Lazic’s label La Zic Records and Insomniac’s Factory 93 Records, as well as more shows soon to be announced, he is positioning himself as a highly versatile artist and one to watch. To celebrate the label launch and give everyone a taste of what’s ahead, Gio Lucca swung by and dropped off a mix for our Summer Sessions series that’s filled with IDs and other gems.
Kicking off the mix with my Cocaine Cool rework—out now on my new label, ISO. Really appreciate all the love it’s been getting lately. I’ve also included a bunch of unreleased tracks from some super-talented artists and friends. These are some of my favorite ones to play out right now, hope you dig it.
