Under his country-inspired Thomas Wesley moniker, Diplo is slated to play the Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo in Redmond, Oregon.
Diplo is a man of many faces. He’s a musical chameleon who can blend into any environment. And on August 1, as part of the Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo in Redmond, Oregon, the highly influential DJ and producer will give the audience a long-overdue taste of his Thomas Wesley project.
Thomas Wesley Pentz is the full name of Diplo, who first made a name for himself as a DJ and producer in Philadelphia. He’s covered a lot of ground in the two decades since. After collaborating with the likes of M.I.A., Skrillex, Kid Cudi, and Justin Bieber over the years, he even set his sights on country music.
Pentz launched Thomas Wesley in 2019 with the release of a single titled “So Long” featuring country singer Cam. He then debuted the project live when he performed at that year’s edition of Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California.
He hasn’t abandoned his foray into country since then. In 2023, Pentz released Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant. The album consisting of country-infused dance tracks features collaborators like Morgan Wade, Billy Ray Cyrus, Orville Peck, Kodak Black, and the Jonas Brothers.
